I got out of the office early yesterday and decided it would be a great afternoon to get on the water. I tried several of my favorite locations without success. I had four lines out with, all with different baits. The south wind was blowing pretty hard and not only was it difficult to drift, it was nearly impossible to keep the anchor to hold. I think now is the time to invest in or construct a drift sock.

Even though it was a skunker of a day, it sure was nice to get away for a few hours. I like this time of year, there are very few other boats on the lake. Summer in this area can be very busy on the water. We get alot of weekenders and the lake can get crowded. We've got a little cold front coming in Thursday, maybe i'll try it again this weekend with the wind from the North...
