I know how it is when you buy some new gear and then you have to wait til you get a chance to hit the water, hopefully you can test out there strength soon.

what length are your tiger rods? i just got a 7' 2 pc medium action and i can't believe how my casting accuracy has improved! even distance with live bait is up there with my 10' rods! you're gonna love em!

now if this weather would just lighten up

Beleive me you wont be disapointed in the new gear... i went from spinning gear to abu 6500s on 7ft ugly stick tiger 1 peice and my hook up rate and catch rate went up... equipment i had before was a pain... always trying to remember to tighten drag... lost alot that way lol...now i have two ugly stick tiger rods.. one with a 6500 and one with a 7000 big game.. goolee i love that reel.. it is a wench.. lol good luck with the new gear... a word of advice.. keep em cleaned and oiled and they will last you a lifetime
