I was setup on the edge of a wheat field that runs through some think woods Sunday. We have permission to hunt the South East corner of the section. The rest of the section is owned by someone else that is owned by someone that tolerates no trespassing or hunting by anyone else. This is understandable, as the whole section is very prime hunting land and he has his kids that come back and hunt it. There is a fence that separates the properties. I was set up about 100 yards on our side. Next thing I know is the other land owner is driving up the fence line on his side and stops right across from me. Before I could get mad, I see a nice buck bouncing through the corn on his side coming right at us. It gets to the wheat field and starts running down the fence line on his side. It gets withing 10 yards of his truck, which is blocking its path. The buck jumps the fence on to my side and runs by the truck. Once it clears the truck enough for a safe shot, I drop it with a 75 yard shot with the deer on a full sprint. The truck backs up, rolls down the windows and looks and the deer laying on our side and drives off. If the truck hadn't parked there, that deer probably would not have even come on our side. Was a good day.
