Went out and caught some bait today, and made a couple other stops for the dinner table as well... Caught a Bluegill today that im gonna hang on the wall next to a big bass I caught.. Not sure what the gill weighs, but it stretched across a 5 gal. bucket... It was around 11 inches long, and 2 inches wide across the back! . Nice fish at that....Heres some pictures.....rollo

nice blue gill, I would mount it to , If it was middle of may I would use it only that night for smiley fish bait and only straight down below the boat, notto scar it up on any bottom debris. If a big ole flat head didnt want him then, then I would pay the extra money to have that 7 ott. hole patched and then mounted.
my brother Im just jokin, Im starting to get that fever, and thought i would just throe that at ya. That blue gill would be on my wall to.
    [nice fish dood.] Holdmhook

Nice gill . I saved all my kids biggest bluegills one year when they was little and had all them mounted to a peice of driftwood with each kids name plates under each fish . Its a total of 6 gills .

    Nice gill,
I have some local farm ponds in this area where we could catch a few that size, probably make a nice looking mount though. I would catch a few more and mount them in a school. That is me though. They definately are pretty fish and fight hard for their size. CONGRATS

Congrats on that fine gill. Get a replica made and use that brute for bait. Fishing tale does'nt get any better than that...

Or to add on to Bobby and a few others Idea, get a replica, use that one as bait and then get a replica of the fat boy that slams him down, tell me that wouldn't be one awesome looking wall, having a big flathead chasing a huge bluegill, only problem is you'd have to find a tree trunk instead of a piece of driftwood to mount them to, but I think it could be done, and it would be a really nice ornament for the nursery too, lol. Congratulations on the catch man, don't get too many of them around here.
