well fellers got me a remington .270 model 770 with a nice bushnell scope on it. got the synthetic stock and a 4 round clip. went and sighted it and its dead on at 100 yards. really sweet gun. bought it at the local pop and shop for cheaper than any of the .270s anywhere else.

Congrats, hope it's a good one. I really like Remington rifles and .270 myself.

The 270 Winchester is one of the sweetest rounds there is. I am looking for a used barrel for my Encore.

yea its a sweet gun. i can hit bullseye on the target wich is the size of a quarter at 50 yards 3 shots in a row. shoots about 1.5'' groups at 100 yards. im sure it would shoot better if i had a steady steady steady rest. i get a little shakey sometimes lol

Good for you, I looked it up in the remington website, looks like a really nice rifle. I don't have a 270 but I think it would be a pretty neat caliber. Seems to shoot good, bet ya can't wait till next season.

I have a Model 710, and I like it. The 770 is supposed to be an upgrade from the 710, sharing the barrel, receiver, and magazine. I have no complaints about mine yet. I think it is the best you will find for the price. Glad your's shot well right out of the box. Mine didn't. Mine was WAY off, but once I got it lined out, it has been hell on deer.
