Yesterday evening at about 6pm this 10 pt buck stepped out. I took him at 30 yards with my new t/c Omega blackpowder rifle. Some of you guys reading this gave me some really good info on how to break this gun in & "season" the barrel correctly. It worked, and this gun will really shoot. anyway, it didn't have to be terribly accurate to kill this dude 'cause he was pretty close. He's the biggest buck I've killed with a muzzleloader, but not near the biggest deer I've killed. I honestly thought he was a little bigger than he is, but that's okay. He's a good buck & I'm proud of him. He field dressed 130 lbs & looked to be about 3 1/2 yrs old, from his teeth. He had an inside spread of 17 inches.

Thanks to everybody who helped me out with advice on the new muzzleloader. It worked out nicely.

Hey Jerrod, how you liking that Omega? I'm still very much in love with mine. I've had it 4 years now, 7 shots, 7 deer! Longest shot so far was 80 yards. Hope you have as good of luck with yours and enjoy it as much as I do!!!!!!!! Again, CONGRATS!
