I fish From SouthBay In Whitehall and from the Ti launch. We usually get bigger cats from Ti but this year we have got some nice ones from southbay. I fish mostly the cannel up to the rock cut. I fish mostly at nite, it can be a little tricky getting back to the launch some nights. but not bad once you learn the channel. The big one I got Sat. was in deep water about 18 ft. we had lots of runs and my 12 year old fishing buddy son caught his third 9 1/2 lb. cat and a 3 lb. large mouth bass befor I got anything. He loves to fish with me rain or shine.

    Captain,
I just sent you a message at the BOC. Get a chance look it over and get back to me. You did better then me and I drove 1900 miles to fish. I think I will stay closer to home to do my fishing from now on.

Hey NY RiverRat where do you fish? I thought you were from down state??? Maybe the Captain, you and I can get together some time.

Myself. Born and raised in Springville, western NY.
Gosh, how I miss the hill's, the best deer hunting and cold water fishing.
No giant cat's, but you count on some of the sweetest tasting fish you ever ate, even the bullhead were the best out of the cattaraugus creek.
Out here in Missouri the bullhead are a bait fish. They taste like it too!:0a14:
Trout don't taste to good either. Randolph creek had some awesome rainbow and browns. Out here they don't know what a salted minnow is.
When you talk about ice fishing, everyone want's to go to the bathroom then go to bed cause they get cold?
Anyway, nice cat for a easterner New Yorker. Let's see some more biggin's.

Hey Chris, welcome to the BOC, I do most of my catfishing in the chamlpain canal from Fort Ann, up to south bay. My son caught a 15 lb. channel in southbay two weeks ago. My biggest this year has been 9 lbs. Let me know where you live and i can give you some ideas as to where to go.
