Talk about starting the snagging season off with a bang! I boated five paddlefish last night. Three were shorter than 34" so I had to put them back, but the two keepers I got were good ones. One was a 70 pounder that was 48" from eye to fork of the tail and had a 35" girth and the other was my personal best 80 pounder that was 50" from eye to fork of the tail and had a 40" girth.

Here's the pictures. The night time pic is the 70 and the daytime pic is the 80.

WOW! Nice, definitely putting some grub in the freezer..... How long is the season over there in Mo.?

Hey I have a 20/0 treble with 10 ounces of lead on it, LOL, made one winter for something to do, (jet skiers actually) but no takers, maybe that would work on the sisppi for a spoon....LOL

Way to go Seth, sounds like you had a good time. I've always threatened to try snagging but never have. Come to think of it I've always threatened to learn how to catch catfish also.

Note to self............TRY TO START FOLLOWING THROUGH WITH ALL THOSE THREATS.......GEEZ:smile2:

I can catch paddlefish, but I still can't catch a big blue for heck. Maybe I'll screw up and finally catch a good one this year.
