As an experiment, I created a Google map with some of the ramps in the Kansas City area:

    http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=U...864,-94.401363&spn=0.350799,0.63858&z=11&om=1

I'd like to have this map augmented by other BOC members to show additional ramps on the Missouri River and tributaries throughout the state. But I'm not sure if anyone else can modify the map or not - take a look and see if it lets you add markers to it.

If you *can't* add to the map but know where a ramp is, either post here or send me a PM with the name of the ramp and a URL to the Google map page showing where it's at (click the "Link to this page" link and copy the URL). Also include basic driving directions to the ramp, and (if known) whether the ramp is a municipal or MDC or private ramp.

Sweet, thanks Marty. I'll fool around with it this weekend. I posted a link the other day to the spot on the COE site where they list all the ramps and the administrating body (MDC, COE, etc) so that will help some. No directions or lat/longs, though.

I've updated the Google Map to include all the ramps shown on the Corps of Engineers "Lewis and Clark" map provided by stolib a few days ago.

Some of the locations are questionable, owing to poor resolution in the satellite image. If you come across one of those and know exactly where the ramp should be, send me a link to a Google Maps page that shows it.

Again, hope someone finds this information helpful...

Here's an updated URL that shows the entire state:

    http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=U...864,-94.401363&spn=0.350799,0.63858&z=11&om=1

    Great job,Marty.
The ramp in St.Joe labled riverfront park is also known as "French Bottoms",not sure if thats the official name, but there is also a river front park a few miles south in downtown that has no ramp.

Could also be labled as the casino ramp :)

Love the map, if I ever get out on the Missouri I'll be checking it a lot closer.
