I just discovered that Google Earth/map has high resolution imagery of the James River, Dutch Gap area on line. I mean REALLY high res.

Go to Google.com and on the upper tool bar click on "Local". A U.S. map will pop up. In the search box type Richmond, va. You can then zoom in and out and drag the map to the Dutch gap area. You can then select Satellite or hybrid (roads on top of imagery).

    Way cool!!!!

I have google earth installed and have wasted countless hours zooming in on all parts of the globe . It is a highly detailed map of the entire world!!!!!

i just downloaded it a couple nights ago. it shows my area really really good! the rest of my state is terrible though. i too spent half the night looking at everything i could! D.C., ground zero, paris, baghdad, red square, etc. i could tell the ohio river near cincy was up really high whenever the pics were took.
