last easter we got a good rain the night before and the night crawlers where all over the place. instead of hunting eggs the boys had a night crawler hunt. they had a blast and i got a ton of bait.

Since we are talking around Easter, I prefer to get my bait at Tractor Supply. Ya just can't beat those live chicks as a fresh bait for big cats. Hehehehe

Youth and energy is no substitute for old age and treachery.

nice creativity. now all you need to do is teach them how to raise bluegill or shad.

lol, i always make sure to flip over a few rocks on my way out and get about a dozen worms, if anything else they will catch the sunnies to use as bait.

    Jess,

Last week, in another thread, I suggested puppies, but Kris got all girly acting over it. And, well, I ah... well I get all girly acting over cats :0a13:

I got no problem with puppies, chicks, bunnies, hampsters or armadillos though. Especially armadillos, cause their pretty tough. You can catch four or five big blues before thay start showing signs of wear and tear. Hehehehe

:what-big: oh no...more cute little fuzzy animals as bait... :crying:

I'm not worried though since cats would make horrible bait, especiialy mine since no fish would want to put up with those teeth and claws. :p And don't even get me started on the sounds they make when they're put in water. LOL
