I'm not sure who looks at current flow vs. tides, but I've found this to be a greater indicator on the best times to fish. For the Potomac from say Marshall Hall and up past Alexandria, select Mid-Atlantic and search for Alexandria. You can select tide or current for today and tomorrow. The tide difference from Jones Pt down to Marshall Hall is about 10 minutes, so current should be the same. As far as reading the chart, the current is fastest the further it is away from the center, zero line.

Yep, use that one all the time as well and has a much wider selection. I have also been burned by that one since it is tide only. Of coarse, once you know that and make note as when the current flow slows or changes vs. tide times, you tend to do better.
