Like everyone here I have my favorite combos I use all the time, low profile baitcasters for bass and my Abu and Penn baitcasters for catfish. There's no way on Gods Green Earth I'm going to put one of my good rigs in the hands of "my" Grandkids, and Mom bless her sole spends more time untangling bird nests than fishing.

I bought a couple cheep Zebco's at WallyWorld and they are shot after one summer. What would be a good reel that is easy to cast for Mom and the kids but has some quality to it and will haul in a fair sized fish and doesn't cost an arm and leg?
