Brothers I'm full of questions, This question was brought about to me by this gentlemen sitting down the bank from me and Started yelling at the gar,Yes yelling. The Gar for some reason where thick as thieves, Bumping into my line and etc, Not big gar Just a lot of little gar. Also in his rants and raves said something that cat fish won't bite because of the gar is this true? This isn't the only time i have heard this

More accurately put, when gar are thick, catfish don't have time to feed because the gar are more aggressive, and competitive, and won't leave your bait alone long enough for the catfish to find it. Usually, if I'm getting pestered by gar, I will move to a different spot. Also, gar don't hang out in swift current, but catfish do.
