My daughter and I had a pretty good evening on the river. We boated 10 channel cats to 28 inches, and 4 flatheads to 32 inches. I did see one thing that I did not like. Someone had previously caught one of the channel cats and had cut the points off the pectoral fins and the dorsal fin before releasing it. The fins were badly infected and awful looking. I've heard of people doing this because of fear of being injured, but it is the first time that I've actually seen it.
All of our fish were caught on cut skipjack.

yeah i have heard of people doing that to fish as well. I know some people who put them in ponds do so in the hopes that they wont mess up their bluegill and bass. supposedly it slows them down. which i think is a bunch of crap. its not fair to the cat. but great job one the fun night. i see i wasnt the only one catching some cats on the ohio last night. and just like you i caught all of mine on skippies, except for one
