Wife and I went out yesterday and did very well fishing. Caught a ton of nice bream, 4 skillet sized channels, several bass and a 3 pound bowfin. Used dead shrimp and cut squid for the bream and cats. 3 inch bream for the bass and bowfin. It was my wifes first fishing trip in her new yak (Liquid Logic Manta Ray 14) and she (read that 'both of us") had a blast. The cats and 6 of the bigger bream went home with us for dinner, all the others were thanked for giving us a good fight and were released....

Sounds like you had a good time. My wife has decided she wants a fishing yak so next spring im getting her a 12 ft. heritage angler like mine.

    Hey Pirate Jerry,

Where did you go fishing? Surf or brackish backwaters?

I would also be interested in how you fish...do you troll? Do you have multiple rods deployed at once?

Thanks for the great fishing report!
