I wish those were 20's on top of that rod. Anyone have the 30 and the 20 and compare the sizes? The 20 is about as large as I want.

I prefer the 20s as well. But my buddy has a few 30s we use on his boat and they're manageable on a boat. If you need distance from the bank I'd say stick with the 20s or 15s.

I'm not sure on the size difference...I just saw a squall combo for less then a squall and thought it'd make a good combo for big cats 😂

Yes for sure. Even if the rods aren’t good the reel is worth the money.

A Squall 20lw holds 315/20 mono… The Squall 30lw holds 530/20 mono.. it is a beast

i had 2 squall 50lws.....coulda used em to mount on a truck for a winch, they were huge. dropped back down to 15 and 20 size penns. 20 is about ideal for any style of fishing you could do.

I have a small herd of Squall 2's in 20 size.I use them for night fishing from the bank in winter..........nice loud clicker even a deaf old fart like me can hear.As for size the 15 is a little small,the 30 way too large but the 20 is just right.I use Hi-Seas grand slam 40 lb test...........think it holds 175-200 yards,plenty enough for big blues.
