Anybody have an answer for this? I know it's a very old thread but it's a question I've been trying to figure out too. I know the gar are active down there at night in the summer. I've got the itch for another monster from the bank...whether gar or a big cat, this seems like a good spot for it.

I have been wondering the same thing myself... I do not fish this area, but have friends in the area and it would be fun to have them actually catch something "big." BIG to them would be 24 inches plus!! Haha...would enjoy watching them have fun and prob freaking out at the same time.
