Sissy ? Nah ! It takes all kinds friend .You might be in for the fight of your lige lol..Ive never saltwater fished ...But the Mullberry tree I was talking bout ...carp were sucking them up ...I got downstream picked up a handful of berries and caught a nice carp on one ...It was taxing ...and great fun ...so never know what might happen .

If price isn't a major concern(and I definitely understand if it is) you may look at one of the WildWater sets from Amazon. For less than $100 you get everything in the BassPro kit, plus a case and a few other essentials. Biggest thing is that the quality seems to be quite a bit better and the rod has a slower action which is supposed to help when first learning to cast. Either way, it can be a lot of fun. If you are after bluegills and aren't dead set on traditional flies, wax worms or a 1-inch Gulp minnow on a TroutMagnet 1/200 oz jig works wonderfully. Also, you never know what might come along.
