I have a pond that has several goldfish in it. How is the best way to get them out of there?
might try using a castnet. Are ya using them for bait, or eating them.
or seine it if the pond aint too big
Stock it with game fish Bass and others might help
I am wanting to use them for bait. I didn't know if you could catch them using a bream trap or not. The pond has to many cattails to seine.
Most likely a trap won't be very efficient. Probably going to need a castnet which is great for catch a group of them swimming together.
i have pond here that has a ton of them. I just usually use bread balls under a small bobber with a size 10 live bait hook. You can also get them on redworms or single pieces of corn
i think penndog is on the right track ive caught them with little bits of chicken liver and wax worms also...best way is a casting net though especially if they are schooled up....
I would think if they are small enough you could use a minnow trap?
castnet is your best bet them little goldfish can swim fast, have hell of a time tryin to catch them in my 10gal tank by hand have a livewell net but wont fit in the tank lol. Trying to get them outta a live well on a bass boat is a pain also, had to drain brians livewell to get to the last one sneaky lil b88tard :smile2:
