Anybody have them in their pond or lake?I have 2 in an aquarium and man do they grow fast!
I know the USDA has a channel that is supposed to grow faster than normal. I believe it is called USDA 103. It was developed for fish farms. They say they get to market size 20% faster than regular. Is your aquarium heated. Max grow occurs around 70 degrees. Thats why all large fish farms are located in the southern states. Where did you get your fish. I would like to see and possibly aquire some.
No I don't heat it,is just room temp 68 deg.got them at a pet store, also got 2 blue ones but they are not growing as fast.
i have some also truck, they grow really fast, especially when you feed them pieces of hot dogs every day
I've not heard of them before. Are they just a color phase of a channel?
Anybody got a picture?
