NOTHING!, but honestly it was still a little too early in the season (late April-early May) when I used that.

Those are like $15 a piece baits man!!! It'd be nice to have something like that but wow that's got to be expensive. However, those guys get much larger. The Koi can get to over 50lbs. I was wrestling with some on Monday in a little retention pond in Surf City. We were netting them to take back to the fish farm and they were about 2-3lbs and they were feisty.

back to the question at hand, yes goldfish work well if you have the right size. but check your local DNR regulations to ensure that they are legal to use as bait. alot of places DO NOT allow goldfish to be used as bait. 5 to 9 inches is perfect for kitties, IMHO. i prefer to use cut or live gills and shad, but i have usd goldfish with sucess many times. good luck

The biggest goldfish I can find in a pet store is maybe 3 inches long and they were relativly inexpensive around 30 cents a piece. I did find some about 6 or 7 inches long but I couldn`t justify paying $13.00 each so I haven`t been able to try them yet.

Here in Indiana I have bought Feeder Goldfish fron Uncle Bills Pet store. They averaged 4 to 5 inches for about .50 cents. Had a few leftover and put them in a 55 gallon Aquarium. In about 6 months they were 8 to 11 Inches. They are I think Comets. Single tail. The Fancy tailed ones are the pricey ones. Hope this Helps.......Jeff :)

you can come across the bigger feeders at petsmart every now and then. and they are relatively inexpensive. i hook them right in front of the anal fin. if you can only find the small ones, hook about 3 or 4 on a hook, right through the lips or eyeballs.
