Hey everyone in a month or two im going to be taking me a fishing trip down to New River, in the Radford area, does anyone know how the fishing is going down there so far, and where would be the best place to fish in the river to hook into some catfish. Any help would be appreciated.

You have me green with envy!

The New River is my ol' stompin' grounds from back when I was a VT flunkie.

Unfortunately, I tubed the New River, but not the fishing kind, nor with fish in mind (to busy scoping the girls, ya know!).

    Anyway, have fun!

If you have any extra time while your here, Claytor lake 15 minutes from Radford, has great catfish and sometimes stripers and hybrids.
