Going skipjacking

    going skipjacking sat and maybe tight line for some of those 80# pound blues we caught on jugs. taking orders for skips lol

    Derric, nothing wrong with doing some tightlining, but I would be sure to also use a float to drift my bait through the spots where I caught big fish before; the float will keep the bait at the same depth as your bait was on your jugs.

    that is true but dont have in cat bobbers yet .hard to find a float to hold up half a skip jack

    Get you some balloons. The round ones are easier to find, and probably hold up a little more weight, but if you get some of those real skinny ones that are twisted up to make animals at parties, they will stick out of the water higher and be more visible if you're letting your bait float a long distance away. If you're casting, you definitely want to go with the skinny balloons, because they catch the wind a lot less, and you can cast farther.
