Goin fishin in the morning

    Hey brothers goin fishin at around 5 am tom mornin using bluegill hopefully and some liver any way to cure liver in oven or nething like that over night?:confused2:

    I think I remember JTrew saying that he has cured them in the oven. Cant remember how hot or anything though.

    Take them out now, set them in collander to drain, lay out on a pan, and coat heavily in Non Iodized Salt and Garlic Powder. That will suck a ton of the liquid out.

    You can also use fresh. Use both and see which produces best. Good luck on the water brother. Let us know how you do.

    I havn't heard of using the oven but why chance messing up your bait. If you have a dehydrater there are directions and results in the library. If you do try the oven post results and pics and let us know it turns out.

    Personally I would keep the liver cold and use it fresh, you want that blood to ooze out in the water.
