got out to the hamilton dam for a few hours today. there was no one there and the water was at perfect level for catfishin. we only landed 2 flatheads only about 3lbs each. both were caught on a peice of carp. another guy came later and fished with us for an hour. he was using a chartruse curly tail grub on a jig head and caught 2 flatheads; a small 1lber and a 7lber. he says he catches flatheads on curly tails all the time. if anyone wants to try this he was just casting along the dam about 10-15ft away from where the water spills over and he would just jig it and reel in. hopefully next time i go i'll get something a little bigger than these small fish.
