Well, I decided to see if I could find some fish even in the terrible condition of the river last night. I fished Sunday night with similar conditions and did pretty well with the channel cats. I started off the day throwing castnet for some bait. Got caught on a rock and had to spend about an hour sewing up my castnet. Finally made a throw and snared a nice sized shad.

So I started my fishing in the spot that produced on Sunday. All that spot produced was a big turtle. So I walked back to another current break area. Right at sundown, I had a pull on one of my poles and pulled in a 3 pound channel. Then about 20 minutes later I had a tug on my other pole and pulled in a 5 pound shovelhead. Not a huge success, but I will celebrate the small victory.
