Got to the spot around 5pm. I set out a rod that had a dip worm loaded up with some sewer bait. Then started casting a lure trying to catch some eyes. No luck with the eyes... I got a couple of nibbles on the sewer bait. Then about 6:15 my catfish pole doubled over, i picked up the rod and started reeling, fish didn't feel that big at first... turned out to be a 9 pound shovelhead. The first flattie I have caught on the stink bait. Nice surprize as I was only expecting to catch a few channels.

Thanks for the report Bryan. I would not have figured a flathead biting that type of bait either. Nice to see their still taking baits.

Thanks Bryan, man the flatties must really just be eating everything before they hole up for the winter
