is there ginseng that grows in kansas?if so what are the laws concering digging ginseng in kansas?any help would be great.i know we have a game warden on here maybe he would have some insight into this?

That was a good article. Thanks. Reminds me since I moved from the country. The hillsides around here dont have alot of jack in the pulpit like back home. even at the gamelands where I hunt.

American ginseng, Panax quinquefolium, is a woodland herb that grows throughout the East, from Maine to the Carolinas and across Georgia, Alabama and Mississipi to the eastern borders of Kansas and Nebraska. It thrives in rich, humusy soil that drains well, and it needs shade. (It is not to be confused with Chinese ginseng, or Panax ginseng, which is native to Asia and cultivated widely in Korea.)
