my bro and i went out fishing above winkelman and did some damage lol. we caught about 30 some fish.carp catfish and a bunch of gills. most were small 1 to 3 lb channel cats but did catch a few flats from 5 to 20 lbs. great day in the wilderness with no 1 else in sight. :big_smile_2:

Tis my favorite place to fish, not so close to Winkleman though, Never ever get skunked there, well almost literally, but not by fish!

we took off saturday morn around 8 and started fishing by 930. we walked a few miles to get to some hidden holes. we caught nothing but channel cats then some clouds rolled in and started raining and that when the flats started biting.

Hows the water levels. I went up 2 weeks ago and it was pretty low in some spots. I love it up there. There was about a dozen Carp swimming all around me. Really nice fishing, even though I didn't catch anything.:eek:oooh:
