Georgia hogs

    Does anybody know if there is hog hunting in ga? I would like to get one with my bow.

    There is no closed season for hog hunting in Georgia on private land. Find you a farmer who has problems with them rooting up his fields, and you are in business. Just get be courteous, obey the landowners requests, and get written permission. Check out the Georgia DNR web site for any further info. Take care, Jack.

    Georgia is loaded with wild hogs. There are many wildlife management areas that support herds of hogs and they want you to kill them off. There are many pay hunts for hogs here in Ga also. I have taken several with bow and gun. My largest was a boar that field dressed 230 lbs. and was killed with a recurve bow on Fort Stewart military reservation.
