It's a gps based treasure hunt game that's being played in over 200 countries around the world. Lots of fun for the whole family!
    Check out the link.

I havent had a chance to do it yet. BUt its getting to be a pretty big sport/hobby. I probably will want to get into it in the next year or two when my boy gets a little older.

    Larry,
How old is your boy? Our twins are 6 & they've been doing it since they were 3. They love trading toys in the caches.

    Hey Eric,
My boy just turned 2 last November. I'm not sure that he will be ready this year. Athough I intend to start him fishing this summer.
I'm thinking that next summer after he turns three, he would be game for it.
You know it sound like a hobby that moms can do and even have fun with the guys.
Thanks for the input on your kids. I could see how that would be the bomb. Heck I get excited thinking about it.
    thanks
    Larry

I was really into it a few years ago before the WAAS gps' were out and that made it a lot tougher to find them. I just couldn't find the time to keep up with it. My wife has been on me here lately to get back into it as a family outing so I may be in for a come-back. lol

I dont ,but I know where a cache is at near my house. While baling hay one summer evening I seen a guy pulls up to this tree and reachs in to it and pull something out. With the drug problem around here I immediately called the county drug task force coordinator and he checked it out. Turned out it was the Geocacheing site. That was 3 years ago and it is still there. I haveent seen anyone there again but I have checked on it from time to time and the toys inside keep changing.

Hey Bearcat, you wouldn't happen to know the name of that cache or have the coordinates would you?

I'm glad to hear it's still there. There have been many caches blown up by bombsquads around the country. LOL

We had a problem around here with people using porn as the cache a few years back.

you mean they were leaving porn in the caches?!
That sort of thing is strictly forbidden since it's supposed to be a family fun game. some jerks just have to try & ruin everyone's fun!

Porn, wow that's an added twist that was never a problem since I was really into caching. Makes me think twice about taking my wife and daughter as they have been asking me to do for a while now.

I have been wanting to start into this since I got a GPS for Christmas. Been waiting till the weather gets a little better. I think my kids would get a kick out of it.
