    hello guys...
I'm brand new to these forums, but hope you guys can help & lead me in the right direction for my 1st GPS purchase...

I'm in south Arkansas, & will only be fishing area lakes & rivers...

I'd like to mark my truck, head out on the lake/river, mark fishing spots, then find my way back to the truck...

It'd be nice if I could stay connected to satellites while in cover (wooded areas)...

It won't need to be a depth finder, as my boat already has one...

    Any help is appreciated...

I don't know much about GPS either but my wife bought me a Garmin Etrex Venture HC handheld for Christmas. (My first GPS) I have been reading through the manual and it looks pretty easy to use. It offers the ability to track and to set waypoints (your truck). It also can be set to automatically set points along the way to your fishing spots based on time or distance. It holds several individual tracks and can upload to your computer for storage. Also has a color display

    Hope this info is useful.
