funny papers is what we used to call the cartoon strips in newspapers. there are a whole lot of good ones that are gone now. i read the funnies in 2 papers everyday. like to start my day with a smile when i can.

someone remind me of some of the oldies we don't see anymore.
    anyone remember Buzz Sawyer?

    Phil,

My Father used to read me the "funny papers" every Sunday, after he woke up. That was his only day off and our time together. He gave me my love of reading the newspaper and funny papers. Now I don't have time to read anything much...............I'm on here too much..............LOL, but that may soon change. Life is too short to live on a computer.

    Take care,
    Cheryl

Cheryl, get up on sunday morning, put on the coffee, and go get a newspaper. take 30 or 40 mins and read the funnies, sip coffee, and think about your dad. that is more enjoyable than yakking on the pc with a bunch of grouchy old men.

    Phil,
I don't drink coffee and it's usually Sunday afternoon......but sometimes I do just that.

About the grouchy old men...........you said it, I didn't.

    Take care.

    Hey.... Im not old!

    Phil,
I have always been a big fan of The Far Side.

I dug out a few of my compilations this past weekend and laughed myself silly. Betcha no other comic strip artist has a bug named after him!

    Good thread.
