Fruit/vegtables as catfish bait

    anyone try using fruit or vegtables as bait with any luck?

    I caught a couple vegetarians. They weren't big enough, so I threw 'em back.

    never tried fruits or vegetables, maybe i'll try some herbs, that way they can marinate while they are still on the line.

    You find a mulberry tree overhanging the river, fish under that and you won’t be disappointed. Luck

    Couple weeks ago I saw a family heading to the lake with huge brown things on their hooks. I asked the girl what bait it was and she said "potato fingers". That was a new one on me. Never saw if they caught anything, but if they did it would have had to be big to swallow a bait that size.

    my granddad use to catch 30 and 40 lb shovelheads on strawberries ive tried them but never had any luck he grew his own strawberries magic strawberries i guess
