I can only get shad in the spring and freeze it. I can get 3" to 4" creek chubs year round. Which is better ? Can also get fresh bluegill year round. -Thanks

Mike, I've taken all three out in the last month. It's like any other time of the year. One day it was the chubs the next day it was shad. The blue gill worked just as well. I am concentrating on the creek chubs, the are easier to get. lol:big_smile:

Use all 3, see what they want. I always try to use two or three different baits everytime I fish. I've fished live, fresh cut, and froze cut bait side by side sometimes the live works best other times either the fresh or the froze cut gets all the hits. I try never to limit myself to one type of bait because you never know what the fish want that day.

Sometimes, none of them work.:sad2: Or, at least that's been my experience the last two trips. Tried shad, bluegill live and cut, and shrimp. Not much luck.
