I am going to Badin Lake, NC to try the Blue Cats out this week. I know there is a Citgo close to the lake that sells frozen shad, but I was trying to get my bait before I go, in-case they are out. I am thinking about trying out close to the upriver dam, but if anyone has better advise, I am all ears. Because of all the great advice I have learned here, I will try to net fresh bait on the lake and I will look for baitfish on my depthfinder to try to fish under. I have an 18' camo aluminum boat and will be fishing 10 rods, so I will try some live bream on some, and cut-bait shad on some others. I will try to get as close to the dam as I can, without getting into the big rocks. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks for all I have already learned through this forum. I will let you know how it goes!
