Frozen cut bait.

    I am will frozen cut Bluegills work for catfish? I frozen some in the frezzer, I left the guts and everything, I divided them into three baits the head, middle part and the tail.

    Yea they should work but the longer they are frozen the less effective they seem. Just date em so you can use the oldest first. Fresh is always better imo. Good luck!

    Yes they'll work, especially for blues and channels. I've used them a lot, mostly in the winter when it's hard to catch fresh or when I don't have time to catch enough fresh. I like to freeze 'em whole, and I've got several bags in the freezer right now :wink::big_smile:.

    Yes, they'll work, I freeze gills and big shad for cut bait. Not as good as fresh but will work. I'd still take along a few red worms and get a few fresh ones or net some shad.
