Fronts Affecting Flathead Catfish

    Last year it seemed that every time we went out after or before a front went through it drove them nuts into feeding, and it will end up a good night. Does anyone else like fishing before and after fronts come through.

    yes animals always act depending on the weather so i dont see why fish would be any different

    No doubt fishing before a front or just after is great. But I have also caught some of my biggest fish during torrential down pours. One night of fishing during unbelievable rain the river rose at least three feet in about an hour and the fish would not stop biting. I was fishing from the shore. The weird thing is that you barely had to cast out. I just casted down the shore line and out about 15 yards.

    Yes, I agree too. The day before the front comes through and two days after the front passes seems to be the best for me.
