I have a 89 jeep wagoneer (small one) with 4wd. Found out today that I need to have the tie rods replaced. Can anyone tell me what is involved in doing this (other parts usually replaced) and how hard it is to replace these.
    Thanks
    Rick

Tie rods are fairly simple to replace just count the threads from the tie rod out to the end of the joint and screw the new ones in as close as you can get them, then i'd make an appt to have a front end alignment a few days after as you want it to be exact ,but its a simple job done a bunch myself.

Is there anything else I should be looking at or replacing at the same time?
    Thanks

I always replace it all. Drag links, tie rods, center link. Really anything with a moving part from the pitmann to the tie rods.
