Last night I made a solo trip to the Coosa River in NW GA. I fished from about 8 last night until about 8 this morning. Water temps were about 85 below the power plant and about 80 above it. I was anchored upstream from the biggest downed trees I could find using live and cut bream for bait. I ended up catching 12 fish, which is good for me because I'm not a numbers guy. The catch was 9 blues and 3 stripers with the biggest being a 36 lb. blue. I only saw 1 other boat last night so it was a nice relaxing night in between fish. The owls, beavers, coyotes, and mosquitos were all letting there presence be known as well. It was a nice change of pace from the TN River and a little cheaper too. Here is a pic of the 36 lber, which should make the BOC Hall of Fame for GA Blue cats. Good luck fishin'.

That sounds like a great night on the river. I am considering going to the Coosa tomorrow all night. Did you launch at the Lock and Dam? Thanks for the report.
