Well last weekend i tried using a nice size frog for bait, I have to question here.

    A) the frog died within 5 minutes of throwing it in, I hooked it in the leg, How do i keep it alive longer

    B)Will i catch a cat on a frog?

This i know frogs will drown. and yes they work for channels I always have lil frogs and i have in the past caught some channels not big 1-6lb. maybe try the frog weightless if u want live bait.

I cant use frogs cause they're too cute and I feel bad! ( I know I'm a wuss) I caught them on Pork Frogs though!

frogs breath air so they can not be weighted down to the bottom. they work on top water around lily pads and thick top grass and so on for bass.

Ive had good luck using med. sized frogs for bait. I slit their bellies open and fish them on the bottom. They seem to work exceptionally well in ponds.
