I've had experience with other LCD displays on computers, cellphones tvs, etc. What I was wondering about, do you need to take your fishfinder/gps displays off of your boat in freezing weather and take them inside to keep them from freezing the crystals? I know it will ruin a lot of LCD displays if you don't and I assume it is the same with fishfinders.

Good question. I never take mine off and the boat sets in an unheated garage. Supposed to see -10* to-15* the next couple of nights.
