yeah i fish there all the time.I havent fished there in a few months because the cats just stopped biting there for some reason.I caught an 11 pound 27 inch channel out of there in early july, also an 8 and 10 pounder.I live just right down the road from the game farm so its pretty convieniant for me,im within walking distance of it.
The thing is its fished so heavy if you dont go early morning on the weekend you wont find a spot to even put your line in.Im off one day during the week and its not to bad then.Any of you folks want to get together and do some wisker fishin there let me know i know where the big ones hang out up there.
Went to the games farm for awhile today.I think someone gave you some bad info,if they stocked the lake out there it had to be the lake they have for the kids because there wasnt anything in the big lake.Anytime they stock it you can count on catching something,i tried about every kind of bait you can think of and didnt even get a bite
I wen't out there the day after and caught about 20 in 2hr. Did you try salad shrimp? Where did you fish? When did you fish? They hit hard and fast in the morning before the sun comes up off the dam.

No i didnt try shrimp but i had about everything else.I had nightcrawlers, cured liver, bluegill, mill worms and not one bite.I got there about 9 am because of work but ive never had any trouble before catching anything at that time as a matter of fact the big ones i have caught out of there i didnt get until about 12:00 or 1:00 pm.I dont know mybe i wasnt holding my mouth right.lol.
I always fish on the dam thats where all the big boys are.
Hey fellas,
Where is this place at? I have lived down in this area for almost 4yrs and have never heard of it.
It's in frankfort off of US60 it is the Kentucky department of fish and wildlife resource headquarter
Thank you,
I will have to venture over that way and check it out sometime.
Went out and checked my caltalpa tree had some on it so I picked them and took them out to the game farm cugth about 15 or so little /tiny one no big cats.
theres some in there earlier in the year i caught an 8 10 and 11 pound channels.but i think it gets fished out by this time of year and if you wait and go back in the spring there will be somemore big ones in there again.Guist creek is even worse, you can catch channels and flatheads all day but not one of them are legal size.I guess we will have to wait for them to grow up next year.
