Finally, I have things going in the right direction. I was beginning to think it was going to get past me before I knew it.

I just sent payment for a couple more reels, and a 6 pack of Monster 0/33's. Now I think I HAVE to get that rod rack finished. With that done, i'll almost be set. I will look real good when i'm out not catching any fish. :smile1: I guess i'll need to head out soon and get a couple more rods too.

I wish I had completed these tasks sooner. I was thinking about heading out during the long weekend, and staying a couple of days. Not sure what destination I will settle on though. Not too hard to decide...either the Ohio, or the Muskingum. I can get skunked equally at each spot.:cowboy:

Well Rob it sounds like your headed in the right direction, I hope you are able to get on some fish this weekend.
Oh good grief...me too! It would be the first of the season for me. Between work, rain, and crybabies...all I have managed to catch is a few Channels. And I wasn't even fishing for them.:smile1:

To catch ANY Flat, or Blue, would make me a happy person. A big Cat would just be a bonus.

I won't have the nice rod rack and pretty holders by then, but I will let you know what I decide. It's really difficult to not head to the Ohio.:smile1: I had a great 2 days down there last year on Memorial weekend.

I know it's only been a couple of days, but I really can't wait to get my shipments in.

I do plan on getting out for some fishing during the long weekend. Although, I might be able to free up enough time to get my rod rack put together. That will leave me with just the waiting.

Once the rack is up and running, all I need to get is a suitable trolling motor. That has been a bigger challenge than I thought it would be. Sure, I could buy a new one, that would be very easy...but very costly. I have set a price limit and have been scouring craigslist for a while now. I have found many candidates. Some close to home, some not so close. The problem is, finding the perfect storm.

I have specific requirements I want in a troller. Bow mount, at least 50lbs thrust, preferably 12 volt, with a 42"ish length. I have found plenty that cover just about everyone of my needs. I haven't found one yet that covers them all. It seems the 12v-24v is the biggest stumbling block. I really don't want to have to create space to add 2 batteries, but it appears that I might just have to. All I need is a trolling motor with 12v, 42" shaft, 55lbs thrust, foot control, and cost $300 or less. The search continues.
