I believe that the majority still rules,
But the majority must be willing to " circle the wagons"
I can't tell when we the people will become willing to sacrifice the goods and services necessary to " get their attention". It is a complicated issue.

They play with a lot of money. 30 years ago I was talking to a guy who worked for an oil company. He told me it was a million or million and a half per day to run a rig. They got a lot of rigs. He had a pretty good job, worked a couple months and was off a couple months. He had to be available but that just meant they had to be able to reach him. They paid his transsportation back and forth to his home. Wherever he wanted it to be.

We are all dependent on their product, just like electricity.

Tim, in the situation you just described, that would be an expense. Profit is what is left over after ALL the expenses are paid. Yep, we are getting the golden finger.

You know it is illegal to mark up plywood before a hurricane so how is it legal for gas companies to price gouge?
