I live in Hawley Tx, and Phantom is the closest lake to me. I have a 15' jon boat and have been looking for a good place to put a trotline on the lake. Anyone have any suggestions as to where the big ones are? I also like fishing for any species of fish, so any advise regarding where the fish are would be greatly appreciated.

Fort Phantom is an excellent lake to fish! I have never used a trotline in this lake. I fish from the bank alot, some of the best places are near the main boatramp cove. Near the dam in the corners. Pretty much any windy point or bank. Catch shad near the boatramp and fish on bottom. Lots of eater size channels with some bonus 5-7 pound hybrids in the mix. Good luck and hope this helps.
