I fish Ft. Loudon quite a bit for Blues. There are some trophy cats in Ft. Loudon and Watts Bar, mainly because commercial fishing is banned and the fact that there are warnings about the comsumption of cats from both lakes.

The only thing I don't like about catfishing on Ft. Loudon is in the summer. If you're at anchor, be prepared to get knocked around by 32' Sea Rays and Regals.

Santee is a very fertile lake...the cats grow large and quick. The Santee lakes are not deep like our lakes, and Ft. Loudon is much more riverine. Both hold large just go about it differently.
