For those of you who remember me asking if it was a good idea to get a basset hound!

i do remember your posts and i'm glad you got you a bassett .
they are a little harder to care for than some other breeds but they are cool dogs .
glad your milo is healthy and he sure is a good looking one pretty colors and markings.
he sure does have a lot of freckles on his legs.
remember about there hips and shoulders and pick him up or lift and lower him off of high places like truck / car seats or anyplace he manages to get up
on he will or could hurt himself getting down . jumping down puts a lot of pressure on their sockets and they are so long and kind of heavy that its
    hard on them .
keep posting pics of milo he looks like a character allready:smile2:
my bassett frank has developed a serious dislike of getting a bath
and will run from me when i mention the dreaded word HAHAHA
our boston rocky will immediately run after him and grab his collar and try and pull him towards the bath room like he agrees that he needs a bath:tounge_out:
    they are something else.

Nice looking bassett!! We have a female bassett, can't remember how many monthes she is right now, but she is a character. I thought bassett hounds were calm, she's a terror!! lol Chases the cats around the house all day....

I LOVE those pictures. So glad to hear that you love him; they are great dogs. I had one for 16 years; he died about 2 yrs ago. I have the best memories of my Rusty. He was just such a good natured dog; they're good with kids, & most of them love to have company come over!! Rusty never met a stranger! (Therefore, not real reliable as watchdogs, but that's okay!) I wish you years of happiness with them. But do take care with their backs; they can injure them if not careful. Please put up more pictures; I just love seeing them.
