    Empty places in our hearts

    Empty places in our hearts,
Can be caused by many things.
But the loss of a pet is so painful,
with the sorrow that it brings.

Yet the hurt and the pain and
sadness, that you feel so deep.
    Will turn with passing time,
into sweet memories for you to keep.

His wagging tail a cold wet nose,
ears that flew in the wind.
Deep brown eyes with a knowing glint,
He knew that you were his friends.

He wouldn’t want you to be sad,
    Or dwell on sorrowful things.
I think He would say, hey Mom and Dad
    I’ve got my angel wings!

    Thanks fellas,
    I hope Mellon sees it.
I really want him to give a copy to his mother and
father. It might give them some comfort.
    I just hate loosing pets!
